1968 Dodge Charger With 1300 HP Dodge Viper V10 Twin Turbo Engine

The Dodge Charger is one of the great legendary muscle cars of the 1960s. Though it looks like a muscle car on the outside, this Charger is actually a high-powered supercar in disguise!

The guys at The Roadster Shop have transformed this American muscle car into a wolf in sheep’s clothing! Under the hood is a V10 engine from a Dodge Viper, breathing through twin turbochargers and pumping out an incredible 1,300 horsepower.

The whole car rides on a Fast Track Chassis from The Roadster Shop with Viper spindles in the front and Viper independent suspension in the rear. The belly pan is made of carbon fiber and the whole interior is aluminum – no fiberglass dashboard here! It’s hard to tell because of the dark windows, but the interior sports a full roll cage as well.

There was an extensive amount of bodywork done to blend the lines of the car to give it that slab-sided look. The hood, fenders, and dashboard are all customized, as are the door panels and steering wheel. The roof was chopped 1.25″ and the rear quarters were widened to accommodate the larger wheels. The aluminum grille was custom made on a CNC machine.

The name “Sliced” comes from the signature red pinstripe down the side of the car, which divides the paint between matte and gloss grey. This was a standout car at SEMA 2014 and attracted a lot of attention at the “TEN” media booth (formerly Source Interlink – the company that publishes Hot Rod Magazine).
