A good night tonight it was pretty busy in the gym but yea I got a solid workout in, just to change it up I started out in the warm up on the rowing machine and do 20 cals as fast as I could then at the end of the work out do 10 cals as fast as I can, the things I was working on tonight is arms, shoulders and then practiced my Clean, Squat and Deadlift. I’m getting there on all of these just need to get keep on working on upper strength, a little deeper on the squat and that’s because me ankles aren’t as flexible which I’m working on. The weight I was working with in these was 40KG - 88lbs on the cleans then 60KG - 132lbs on the Squat and Deadlift. 🔥🔹 Full Arm Day Workout 🔹👇 - Here’s the footage of my current arm workout, focusing on high volume, slow tempos, and lots of dropsets. - I start with low incline curls, which put an awesome stretch on my bicep and was a big change of pace from my normal training. - I super-set this with close grip decline bench with chains, one of my favorite tricep exercises. If you’re not hitting close grip bench or dips for your triceps change that, because the overload they provide can’t be matched by accessory movements. - The chains are not necessary but if you have them you should take advantage of them. As the rep gets easier near lockout, the chains make the weight heavier, matching your natural strength. Simply put, the whole rep is hard as hell, great for muscle building. - Next I move into curl and overhead extension dropsets, hitting the muscles from different angles. - I love dropsets but I always monitor how much I do them since they can be very neurologically demanding. - And I can’t take the credit for the programming! 🔥Tricep Cable Extension🔥 1.) Attach rope or bar to a cable stack and place it as high as possible. 2.) Grasp the rope with neutral grip (palms facing in) and lean forward slightly by hinging at the hips. 3.) Initiate movement by extending the elbows and flexing the triceps. 4.)Pull The rope or bar down until the cables are almost locked out and then slowly under control back to the starting position. 5.) 🚫 R E A L I T Y 🚫 . . 🌱 So the truth is, people don't just one day wake up and get good at things. Things take time. A long long time. Of practice, consistency, commitment, discipline, more practice, and all sorts of other things, in order to make something a habit of nature instead of a habit of force. . 💩 What do I mean by habit of nature? Its when you no longer have to look at something as a task, and instead is now your natural Instinct to go about doing it. E.g: we don't think about going to the toilet, we just know we have to. You get it! 😂 . 👉🏻 A habit of force, is when you are forcing a new habit upon yourself. This is where the hard stuff takes place. Where you have to remind yourself to do something, as it isn't yet part of your natural instinct. Though this part over time will take you there. . 🤔 Where am i going with this? Well its just a reminder that we all start from scratch. We've all been part of the habit of force club. If you want to be in the habit of nature club, you need to endure all that comes with the journey. We aren't perfect, but if we try to always improve, then we are one step closer to being better. One step closer to making those habits a lifestyle. One step closer to reaching our goals. . 🙃I'll be honest with you and say that my training over the past month hasn't been the best!! Grow your shoulder.. swipe for a workout routine — Link in bio for online coaching — The best way to grow shoulders like any other muscle is to train them at least 2x a week.. 3x if they’re a major week point — I like to have a heavy day we’re I keep the reps between 6-8 with 4-5 sets.. then more of a pump day with lighter weight higher reps of 10-15 range still with 4-5 sets — Volume is the key to muscle growth, yes you can do 5 sets of shoulder press, later raises, reverse flies, Arnold press. Twice a week.
